About us
We are a close-knit, loving family, always ready to heartily welcome newcomers. Our mission is to spread the wonderful news about Christ’s salvation and love to every person living in the Lowell/Ada/Cascade area.
Our Beginnings
Our local church began in 1999, when a small group of Seventh-Day Adventist families began meeting in a home near Lowell, MI. The attendance soon outgrew that small space, and in 2007 an official church building was built. The members loved the intimate and friendly atmosphere of the home-church, and even though the church has grown to over seventy five members, that aspect has been maintained to this day.
Seventh-Day Adventists (commonly referred to as SDAs) are Protestant Christians. Worldwide, there are well over 150,000 congregations with nearly 22 million members meeting weekly! We believe in the Bible as God’s inspired word, and our beliefs are taken solely from it- -nowhere else. As SDAs, our mission is to go and “make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all that I [Jesus] have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19, 20)

As Seventh-day Adventists, we share many core Christian beliefs with other denominations, especially in salvation through Jesus and the authority of Scripture. However, our faith has some key distinctions. We observe Saturday as the Sabbath, following what we understand to be the original biblical command. Health and wellness are important to us, guided by scriptural principles that encourage balanced living, including specific diet and lifestyle choices. We believe that death is a state of unconscious “sleep” until Jesus returns, at which time believers will be resurrected. Our faith calls us to live purposefully and to adopt a healthy lifestyle, both as expressions of our devotion and in anticipation of Christ’s imminent return, which we see as central to our hope and mission.
